This is what I'm currently working on. A very gold triptych inspired by Japanese art featuring a cherry tree (which will be in blossom) with a red sun and Fujiyama in the distance. I've used MDF boards this time to see how the quality of gold leaf differs from canvas and it's (obviously) markedly different, smoother and much nicer to paint on. I hope to finish the actual painting in a week or so but then have to work out the best way of mounting or framing it for exhibition and, hopefully, sale.
